2019 Men’s Golf Events Description
MEN’S SPRING OPENER
Saturday, May 18th
Four-man A, B, C, D Shamble. All players tee off. Select the tee shot in the best position, and all players will play their own ball for the remainder of the hole. The best TWO net scores on each hole will determine the team score. Each player’s tee shot must be used a minimum of THREE times. Pairings will be drawn by lot. Breakfast included with entry fee at 8:00 a.m. Sign-up for this 9:00 am shotgun.
Monday, May 27th
Members participating can sign-up on the first tee the day of the event. The format will be low net member by class. The number of classes will be determined by the amount of players. Event time will run from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
Saturday, June 8th
Three-man A, B, C Best-Ball event. The format will be 1 Best Ball on Front 9, 2 best balls on back 9. The teams will be drafted on Thursday evening June 6th. The A player will be the designated captain and will select a B and C player to round out the team. Sign-up starts in April for this 9:00 am shotgun with a 8:00 am breakfast.
Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14th
Better-Ball of partners 36-hole qualifier. The top 16 teams will then compete into the Match Play finals. Sign-up as a two-man team for this 8:30 am shotgun start both days. Remaining rounds must be played by stated deadlines.
Tuesday, July 23rd
A great Member and 3 Guest event. Members will make their own foursomes, the field limited to the first (24) groups that sign-up. The format will be 2 Best balls of the foursome. Also, Par 3 events for members and guests. Sign-up starts on Thursday, June 1st. Registration and lunch begin at 11:00 am with a 12:30 pm shotgun. Dinner and prizes following the round.
Thursday, August 8th
Play all day! Two-man teams play three 9-hole matches within flights.
Flight Champions then shoot out for top honors! Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
MEN’S SENIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
Thursday, August 15th
Individual Low Gross and Low Net competition. Members over 55 years of age on date of event are eligible. Gross and Net winners in each division: ages 55-59, 60-69 and 70 plus.
MEN’S CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
June – September
This will be a single elimination match play event. In flights will determine the Club Champions. All who sign up will compete. Matches will begin in late June. Finals will be played by Sunday, September 1st.
Saturday, September 21st
Complimentary shotgun event, lunch and prizes. Event sponsored with funds available from the hole-in-one.
2019 Ladies Golf Events Description
LADIES OPENING DAY
Wednesday, May 15th
This is open to all women of OGC. The afternoon will begin with a 3:30 pm shotgun followed by dinner. Format: 9-hole Scramble. Meeting for the 18-hole Ladies Women Golf Association will be prior to the event.
CANCER AWARENESS EVENT
Wednesday, June 26th
Come join the fight against cancer at this year’s Cancer Awareness Day. With your individual participation, together we will be able to fund research, prevention and education campaigns, and foster hope for those affected by cancer. All proceeds are donated to ProHealth Care Foundation.

Our premier Ladies Day. Look forward to tee events throughout the course.

2019 Mixed Events Description
Couples Golf & Fish Fry
Back by popular demand! The Friday night couples golf & fish fry has been a popular attraction. The 9 holes of golf starts at 5:30 p.m. and then is followed by a fish fry dinner in the clubhouse. Be sure to sign up early because these events do fill up. Couples Friday golf dates will be announced by the golf shop.
Saturday, August 3rd
Chapman System. Both players tee off, hitting each others second shot. Select the best position, alternate shots until the ball is holed out.
PARENT – CHILD
Sunday, July 21st
Open to all members. One parent and one child (any age). Handicap and non-handicap divisions. Format: One best of 2.
Monday, September 2nd
2018 and 2019 event champions shoot out for the coveted Gene Keierleber trophy.
